Town-Quest on Wattstraat in Zoetermeer is not a classic escape room but a VR escape center and board game café run by a mother and son. On four VR stations, a roster of over ten licensed titles rotates, from Ubisoft's Escape the Lost Pyramid and Beyond Medusa's Gate to Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time and free-roam adventures like Ascenders and Eclipse. Instead of locks and décor, it focuses on cooperation in one shared virtual world: you see each other's avatars, pass objects to each other, and help each other across ravines. Reviews are strikingly warm — 9.5 on Escape Rooms Nederland and almost unanimously glowing Tripadvisor ratings — with consistent compliments for the personal welcome with a drink, patient explaining (even for complete VR beginners), and the atmospheric location. One caveat: these are licensed games you can play elsewhere, and tangible, physical puzzles are absent.
