About this venue
The Fear was Schiedam's first escape room, housed in an old warehouse on Makkersstraat where the dilapidated atmosphere — steep stairs, dark corners, dust — did half the horror work for free. In The Curse of Dracula, you're tasked by Mileva Dumitru, the sole survivor of Dracula's castle, to retrieve a magical amulet before the curse strikes; the horror room The Dollhouse, built around creepy dolls, was permanently closed earlier. The rooms run on classic search-and-lock mechanics without actors, with a personal welcome and complimentary drinks. Reviews are average (7 to 8): the warehouse's atmosphere and friendly hosts are praised, but complaints about dust and dirty spaces, missing puzzle pieces, cold temperatures, and poorly-timed hints keep surfacing.
