About this venue
Hof van Nederland is not an escape room business but the Dordrecht museum of Dutch freedom, located in the medieval monastery where the First Free States Assembly took place in 1572. The escape game De Zoektocht van de Sleutelgilden (created with Mystery City Games) is a puzzle trail through the museum: in 1648 you search for six hidden keys of the guilds to open the Iron Chest and prove their rights. You don't need to escape from anything and there's no time pressure — teams are scored on points, and the real museum rooms and objects form the setting. For €2.50 on top of museum admission it's an atmospheric, historically authentic activity, but public reviews of the game itself are scarce: EscapeRoomsNederland has too few ratings for a score. Expect an educational treasure hunt, not a thriller.
