About this venue
Gamecity is a large leisure center in Zoetermeer (go-karts, laser games, mini golf, arcade) and not a true escape room venue; the escape offering is Prison Island, a corridor maze with 24 separate cells, each containing a physical, tactical or thinking challenge of 2 to 5 minutes. There's barely a story — you freely choose your route, score points per cell and can simply retry failed cells, more Fort Boyard than escape room. Visitors describe it as a fun, varied afternoon full of laughter with friendly staff, but consistently warn: don't expect an escape room with story and flow. At busy times it becomes chaotic because multiple teams share the same corridors, and occasionally a cell is broken. Escapetalk gives it a 7.1 — nice for once, especially as a competitive group outing.
