ExitGame Rotterdam was an escape room on Hoogstraat that is now permanently closed; the old website has even been taken over by a spam site. The business operated two identical copies of The Classic, a deliberately theme-free puzzle room where two teams could race against each other, plus the bank heist room The Heist featuring a corrupt agent as a live character and a crawlable laser corridor. Visitors found the puzzles challenging and the service good, but The Classic lacked atmosphere and story according to nearly everyone (6.6 for ambiance on escapetalk). The Heist, by contrast, is remembered with great enjoyment: thoughtfully designed, humorous and tense at just the right moments. Only of interest as a piece of Rotterdam escape room history now—booking is no longer possible.
