'Het Huis van Adriaan Volker' is a brand-new escape room (opened July 1, 2026) by MJ Escape from Dordrecht, built in a converted shipping container on the grounds of the Nationaal Baggermuseum in Sliedrecht. Players step into the reconstructed living space of Adriaan Volker, one of the founders of the Dutch dredging industry, and unravel his life and work through riddles, puzzles, and hidden clues — a biographical room with a late-nineteenth-century parlor atmosphere and a distinctly 'educational' approach. It is a collaboration with the museum, WoWKeet, and the Stichting Baggerfestival; secondary schools can book the room through an educational program. Reviews do not yet exist: the local press (Sliedrecht24, Het Kontakt, Sliedrecht.net) covered the opening warmly but uncritically. Reservations can be made during museum hours (Wed–Sat afternoons) or by appointment via MJ Escape.
