Escapeboot Vlaardingen was a small, quirky escape room aboard an actual moored ship, the Theodora, in the outskirts of Vlaardingen (opened November 2018, now closed). The story was completely rooted in the location: a mysterious boat whose owner no one knows, where according to neighbours agents disembarked carrying a large plastic bag — while authorities deny any involvement. With 2 to 6 players you'd board to uncover what the boat hid. Almost nothing is known about the puzzles and quality: in over six years not a single review appeared on escapetalk, and the official website is offline. The boat itself was said to get a second life as a bed & breakfast in Vlaardingen's old harbour.
