About this venue
Escape Room City in Poortugaal (since October 2016) is the escape room venue of master illusionist Christian Farla, who designed and built the four rooms himself. The rooms breathe theatrical illusionist atmosphere: from Houdini's secret house with authentic magic props (some used in the Houdini film with Adrien Brody) to an Egyptian tomb, a ghost ship and Dracula's hideout. Families and beginners are enthusiastic — the venue scores 9.1 on escaperoomsnederland.nl and the personal, showman-like welcome of the owner is repeatedly praised. Experienced players are more critical: props are here and there worn or broken and the puzzles don't always connect logically.
