Escaperoom071 on the Sint Aagtenstraat, right in the center of Leiden, profiles itself as the city's largest escape provider: four indoor rooms, outdoor GPS games for up to 100 players and VR elements. The best-known concept is Goeie Mie, based on Maria Swanenburg — the real nineteenth-century Leiden poisoner with over 27 victims; there's also Einstein's Madness, the horror-like Psycho and a La Casa de Papel room with VR segments. The venue was ahead of its time in 2016 with deliberately lock-free, tech-driven puzzles, and scores a solid 8/10 across some 200 reviews. There are recurring complaints too: deferred maintenance ('many items are dirty or broken'), late walkie-talkie hints and thin intros that do the story a disservice.
