About this venue
De Vreemde Vogel is a nature experience and glamping park in Vlaardingen with one escape room specially designed for families with primary school children: Save the Di-Da-Dodo!. Players help Professor Dr. Fügel find the eggs of the last Di-Da-Dodo before the species goes extinct — the door isn't even locked, because the mission is about rescuing, not escaping. There is no game master: a video professor tells the story and players grab hints themselves when stuck, with puzzles at different levels so young and old alike have something to do. Visitors are remarkably enthusiastic (8.8/10 on Escape Rooms Nederland): children are completely drawn into the story and the time flies. A note from reviews: the video sound is sometimes hard to understand and the room can be cold in winter.
