About this venue

Amaze VR is The Hague's Virtual Reality Experience Center: 300 m² on Torenstraat with two free-roam VR arenas, ten arcade stations and a futuristic bar. The seven VR escape rooms are licensed top productions from the likes of Ubisoft — from Escape the Lost Pyramid (a lost 1928 Sinai expedition, played as a 'reconstructed memory') to Beyond Medusa's Gate, The Corsair's Curse and the space station Wayfinders. Wireless headsets and natural movement complete the immersion; hints come from a companion voice within the simulation. Visitors are lyrical — 'great story, beautiful graphics' — with an aggregate of 9.3/10 and an 8.7 on escapetalk for Lost Pyramid, and much praise for the staff. The only caveats: it's pricey (from €35 per person) and seasoned escapers find the puzzles shallower than in a real room.
