Escape room De Overstroming in Renesse is a labour of love passion project in restaurant Waikiki Foodbar (formerly Pitnick) at Vakantiepark Schouwen, themed around the 1953 Flood Disaster — played on the island where that disaster actually happened. You step into a living room from 1953 and must escape within 60 minutes before the water comes, while a continuous storm soundscape keeps the threat outside audible and you learn something about dikes and water safety along the way. What's special is the hostess/host who stays in character as the 'friendly neighbour': the first three hints are free, extra hints cost playing time.
