Escape Room Scherpenisse was a small-scale venue on Gorishoekse dijk on Tholen, run since 2015 by activity bureau Uitje in jouw stad, and has since permanently closed. There were two rooms: Escape The Classroom, where you took Master Pricklebee's special exam in an old-fashioned classroom (phones checked in at the school office, passing meant the wall of fame, failing meant the wall of shame), and De Duikschool, built in the actual clubhouse of a defunct diving school on the Oosterschelde. The few visitors who came were enthusiastic — the only escapetalk review gave a full 9.5 for atmosphere and puzzles — but it remained just that one review. Honestly: beloved by the few who found it, but virtually undiscoverable in a campground corner of Tholen, and quietly disappeared. The operator remains active elsewhere in Zeeland with other activities.
