Time Games Utrecht was an escape room on the Draaiweg run by British makers with some twenty years of live-action-game experience, and is now permanently closed. The two rooms — Broken Chain (an unknown virus at the South Pole) and Gone Viral (an infected researcher in a zombie lab) — focused on pure puzzle quality in deliberately austere decor. The main strength was owner Toby, who as the in-character lab guide did the intro and hinted Socratically: short clues repeated until the penny dropped, never stepping out of character. Visitors appreciated this with an 8.6 on escaperoomsnederland.nl and mostly glowing TripAdvisor reviews, though critics found the decor bare ('a basic escape room in a derelict industrial space'). During Covid the business switched to live-video escape rooms online, after which the physical location disappeared; the website timegames.nl now only offers online games.
