The Great Escape in Zwolle (since November 2014, the first in Overijssel) is the actor-driven escape room company of the province: 'cinematic adventures' where talented actors play burglars, postmen and lawyers and stay in character throughout the entire session — even in English if needed. The five indoor rooms range from the Home-Alone-style The Boobytrap to a terrorist threat in The Mission and a real courtroom in The Courtroom, supplemented by battle variants, a Beer Escape in their own bar, the escape bus The Time Jump and a handful of outdoor city games. Reviews are exceptionally positive — 9.4 out of escaperoomsnederland from 210 reviews, 92% recommendation on Tripadvisor, and seasoned players with twenty-plus rooms under their belts are 'blown away' — with the actors consistently being the highlight.
