About this venue
Escape Room Vechtdal in Ommen (part of Vechtdal Events/Rederij Peters on the Zwolseweg) takes place aboard a genuinely old ship: the Semper Avanti, built in 1912 and the largest cargo ship on the Overijssel Vecht. In 'Pompen of Verzuipen' it's 1963, the ship is sinking within an hour after a collision, and you must crack codes, open locks, and literally pump to survive with 4 to 8 players. Reviewers are honest: the puzzles aren't the most complex or innovative, but the authentic ship and especially the physical pump finale make it a highlight according to them — escapetalk gives it 7.6, with atmosphere (8.2) clearly above gameplay (7.3) and service (6.9).
