Xitroom, since 2013 one of the Netherlands' first escape rooms, sits in a canal mansion on the Prins Hendrikkade, five minutes' walk from Amsterdam Central (with a second location in Eindhoven). The two rooms share one house fiction centred on an eccentric inventor family: in The Professor you must escape from Professor X's study filled with formulas and cryptic clues, and in Crack the Safe (Madam X) you crack the security system surrounding her 69-carat diamond as if you were safecrackers.
