Viking Saga (3.5-5 hours) weaves an epic Viking legend along unexpected Texel locations and ends with a performed closing ritual that reviewers call "an amazing ending"; Het Geheim Texels Genootschap lets you prove through culture, dialect and traditions that you're worthy of a secret island society. With a location score of 9.5 on escapetalk (Viking Saga even 9.9), these routes rank among the best-reviewed outdoor games in the Netherlands: players praise the story as a red thread, the beautiful non-touristy locations and the secrets hidden in the map itself. Minor points: the price feels high for single-use paper, there's no help line if you get stuck, and the materials are only in Dutch.
