The Olympic Secret is the escape room at Het Portiershuisje, a porter's lodge and Olympic post office from 1928 next to the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam-Zuid. The building itself is the star: architect Jan Wils, who actually won Olympic gold for architecture for his stadium design, is said to have left a secret message in the management room โ and you play the game in that very historic management room (60 minutes of play in a program of approximately 90 minutes, 2-6 players, from โฌ140 per group). The building's real history is woven into the puzzles, with classic props in a monumental interior and, surprisingly, also a VR element. Visitors praise the unique location, the hospitality and the surprising effects, but the thin review base (escapetalk 7.5 based on one review) suggests the gameplay experience falls short of the promise of the location; the main activity at the venue is the cafรฉ and meetings.
A challenging activity with great atmosphere and a great feeling of hospitality and professionalism.โ TripAdvisor
A unique escape room because the history of the building is integrated into the story.โ escaperoomsnederland
