The City Escape Amsterdam

Amsterdam 1 room

About this venue

The City Escape Amsterdam is not a physical escape room but an outdoor city escape via its own app, built by three young puzzle enthusiasts who run the same format in over ten Dutch cities. The Amsterdam edition 'Fight Alongside Michiel de Ruyter' is set in 1667: the Republic is at war with England and you help the admiral prepare for his daring attack on the English fleet. Starting from Amsterdam Central Station you walk 1.5–2 hours in teams of 2–4 via your phone past real locations, with interactive puzzles, city facts and a pause button to grab a drink along the way. Customers praise the challenging puzzles, the historical story and the flexibility against a team price of €29.95; however, the product is virtually invisible to the serious escape community β€” the Escapetalk page has zero reviews and a TripAdvisor listing is absent.
