The Brink Escaperoom

Heerhugowaard 2 rooms

About this venue

The Brink Escaperoom in Heerhugowaard is a small-scale, entirely self-built escape room by owner Brian Brink and his team, with two strikingly different rooms. 'The Retriever' is deliberately the 'friendliest escape room in the Netherlands': a non-scary family game (8+) where you search for golden retriever Max's lost ball and the game always ends well. 'Moonlight Village' (December 2024) is a fairytale cursed village that only appears at full moon, played by lantern light and without a visible timer to protect immersion. Reviewers repeatedly praise the handmade dΓ©cor, attention to detail, original puzzles and especially the enthusiastic host; an experienced player even ranked Moonlight Village in their personal top 5. Criticism is rare β€” only that review volume is still small and solutions are simpler than groups think (overthinking is the pitfall).

Rooms

What visitors say

  • Handbuilt dΓ©cor with exceptional detail; everything self-made, from story to mechanics
  • Super-enthusiastic, warm host who subtly guides the game via camera and microphone
  • Original, varied puzzles; Moonlight Village earned top-5 rankings from experienced players
  • Small review volume; one reviewer felt the high escapetalk score was slightly inflated
  • The Retriever cannot be lost β€” for adult enthusiasts, the tension is therefore missing
