Ruby Escape Rooms Alkmaar (formerly Escaperoom Alkmaar, part of the nationwide Ruby chain with four locations) is the region's largest escape venue with five rooms on Hamsterkoog, suitable for groups of up to forty players. The offering ranges from the family-friendly Wizard School to horror (The Exorcist) and the challenging Infinicorp Laboratory. The real showpiece is in Stompetoren: The Brotherhood, an exclusive actor-driven thriller for maximum four adults, which entered the Dutch escapetalk top-10 within a year and won the 2024 Bullseye Award for Best Thriller. Visitors praise the variety, professional guidance, and especially the actor and atmosphere of The Brotherhood; the standard rooms are considered solid-commercial but less memorable.
