Escapium, founded in 2016 by brothers Dominic and Patrick, has been operating since its relocation to Jan Evertsenstraat in Amsterdam under the banner of Escape Events. The only room at this location is Abandoned: three backpackers have been missing for over a year, traces were found at an abandoned house, and you join the search to reconstruct what happened. The house style is tech-driven — electronics, video, light and sound effects instead of padlocks — and tension comes from the story rather than jump scares (from age 12). Early reviews are positive: 8.5 on escapetalk (atmosphere even 8.8) and praised early TripAdvisor comments about the décor, hospitable hosts and thoughtful details. To be fair: the review volume is still small and the relocation/rebranding is recent, so the track record at this location still needs to be established.
