EscapeTales

Bussum Closed 2 rooms

About this venue

EscapeTales (2016, founded by Philip and Sebastian) sat right next to Naarden-Bussum station and positioned itself unmistakably as a storyteller: 'Escape Rooms And Tell Tales'. The two rooms formed one story together—in Runaway Train you investigate a mysterious train car discovered in an office building (built with actual train parts), and in sequel Makeshift Morgue you search as a forensic team for what happened to the crash victims. Visitors praised the impressive set, the invitation letter beforehand, and the warm host who stayed in character; critical enthusiasts found the puzzles and finish clearly lagging behind the décor. The venue has since quietly closed—there was no public farewell, and the old website is no longer under the operators' control.
