De Galerie is a boutique escape room by Escapist in a monumental 17th-century canal house near Leidseplein (Leidsegracht 108, basement). You play an exclusive private tour of the collection of an anonymous, wealthy art collector: you sign a confidentiality agreement upon entry and the viewing soon proves to be much more than just an exhibition. Visitors praise the original and varied puzzles, the friendly welcome and the special venue, and the puzzles are nicely woven into the story. The criticism is that the finishing is somewhat poor and the story remains fairly thin and lacks depth; with 3 or more players it plays most pleasantly.
