Backspace Escape Rooms is an established Amsterdam provider in the Sloterdijk/Transformatorweg area with a notably broad range of formats: from the classic 60-minute room to a premium 75-minute award room, a head-to-head battle and a mega room for up to 24 players. The flagship is Aurum, an alchemy theme where you turn base metals into gold, winner of the Golden Lock Award 2026; there's also Budapest Express (mystery on a moving train), Mindcrime (literally breaking into someone's mind, with space as memory), Black Box (large-group challenge) and a time machine adventure for children. There are no actors (except supervision in the children's room); the strength lies in strong soundscapes, atmospheric design and original, interactive puzzles.
