About this venue
Avontuurfabriek in Nieuw-Loosdrecht is an activity park (laser tag, bowling, paintball, food and drink) where two escape rooms are just one menu item. Both rooms are set in the Cold War era, capturing the feel of the 1950s: Bescherming Bevolking takes place in the office of the genuine post-war civil defense organization (founded 1952), and the Radiokamer is a secret, still-intact radio station where you must decipher encrypted transmissions. Both are for 4–8 players, 45 minutes, deliberately low-tech with many padlocks and physical props, and notably parallel in design, so larger groups can progress smoothly as puzzles are fairly independent. Reviews (escapetalk 6.2) praise the authentic, well-executed war-era décor and friendly, group-friendly service, but identify gameplay as the weak link: some props are purely decorative, puzzles feel generic, and narrative integration is thin.
