Amsterdam Catacombs is one of the most acclaimed horror escapes in the Netherlands: one premium experience of 90 minutes where you descend into the catacombs beneath the real 19th-century Posthoornkerk (Haarlemmerstraat) to investigate evil in Amsterdam's underworld. Built by studio Logic Locks with local artists, it is explicitly presented as 'escape room meets immersive theatre': live actors build atmosphere and tension but never chase or grab, and the real church architecture does the heavy immersion work. The puzzles are story-driven, each solution advances the story rather than opening a padlock. Reviews are overwhelmingly positive (TripAdvisor ~5.0, listed worldwide on TERPECA for years, once #4) and praise the actors, building dread without cheap jump-scares and the finale. Criticism: the price, the intensity (not for everyone, 16+) and that the room relatively ages compared to newer rooms.
