About this venue
Xitroom Eindhoven claims the title 'first Dutch escape room' (live since 2013) and is thus a piece of Dutch escape history, run by a committed owner; there's a second location in Amsterdam. In the city center (Voorterweg 150, walking distance from Stratumseind) two rooms operate, De Professor and Crack the Safe, which share a fictional family: the eccentric genius Professor X and his older sister Madam X. It's deliberately old-fashioned, first-generation design with padlocks, hidden compartments, and code chains, no horror. Visitors especially praise the friendly owner/game master, fair pricing, and solid puzzles for beginners; experienced players find the rooms outdated and too easy and miss a clear storyline. The rooms are wheelchair accessible with a waiting area and drinks.
