Murder Mystery Flight 9201 (Escapekisten)

Oosterhout 1 room

About this venue

Despite being listed under an Oosterhout address in venue directories, this is not a physical escape room but an escape-in-a-box for home, created by Bryan Klunder under the name Escapekisten. He switched to boxes after his physical escape rooms in Culemborg and Utrecht closed during corona. In Flight 9201 passenger Avery Stone dies during a flight from Chicago to Las Vegas; the police investigation stalls, and Avery's sister Abby enlists the players as private detectives to reopen the case and identify the culprit. You combine physical evidence from the box with an online layer of witness statements and police files (English, 2-4 players, 90-120 min, 14+). The product is available for purchase via, among others, bol.com and Etsy, but has hardly any public reviews — visibility is small.

Rooms

  • Flight 9201Cold case: passagier sterft aan boord, politie geeft op, de zus van het slachtoffer vraagt spelers de moordenaar te ontmaskeren (escape box voor thuis, Engelstalig).

  • Investigation via multiple channels: physical evidence plus online witnesses and files
  • Virtually no reviews or word-of-mouth after years on the market
