Escaperoom Hotel Hagelhof was a hotel-themed location in Aarle-Rixtel (municipality of Laarbeek, listed as Deurne on aggregators) with two rooms that shared the same cursed-hotel mythology. In De Moordkamer you investigate why guests have been disappearing without a trace since the 19th century: it turns out there is a room that doesn't appear on any floor plan, specially built to murder guests and erase all evidence โ even the detective who found the entrance disappeared. De Schrijverskamer is lighter and aimed at beginners. Reviewers praised the atmosphere, decoration and strong shared premise, but criticized the outdated puzzle mechanics (combination locks and keys, 'no tech') which was too simple even for a newly opened room. The location subsequently closed for 'renovation' and the rooms are now marked as permanently closed โ presumably a quiet death.
