Keymasters in Geleen was an escape room set around one fictional family, the Slots: each planned room would be the room of a family member. Only one was ever built: that of the 71-year-old Grandma Jannie, who grows increasingly forgetful and strange โ you have 60 minutes to discover what's really going on, with a tough escape rate of around 10%. The few visitors were full of praise (four perfect 10/10 scores on escaperoomsnederland) for the original, story-driven concept and the service. Still, the location closed after just over a year (February 1, 2017), with five of the six planned rooms still 'in development' โ loved by those few who found it, but discovered by too few people.
