About this venue
Home of Heroes is a 2,000 m² activity centre in a converted old brickworks on the Meuse in Buggenum, with more than ten activities including the largest indoor obstacle course in the Benelux, laser games in the old drying tunnels, axe throwing and e-choppers. The "escape rooms" are hybrid event products, not classical sit-and-puzzle rooms. Battle of the Godfathers is a mafia team battle for large groups: each team escapes its own room full of gold bars and then splits up — one solves puzzles to free the gold, the other brings it with laser guns to the central vault while rivals try to steal it. Spaken & Kraken is an "escape room on wheels": an 11 km bike route along sealed time capsules to unmask De Maasbende. Visitors especially praise the special location, the variety and the group energy for corporate outings (TripAdvisor 4.7); the mystery and story content is thin — it's primarily an action product that enthusiastic escape reviewers ignore.
