Fun Valley Maastricht in Eijsden is a large adventure park aimed mainly at group activities (paintball, laser tag) and is open by reservation year-round. The escape rooms are supervised per monitor, without an actor in the room. In The Lodge — an atmospheric cabin on the heath — you must obtain a document before time runs out, where you can trade hidden coins via a secret hatch for extra hints. The Blackbox is a sensory deprivation room: the team enters chained and in complete darkness and must free themselves using all senses except sight before the real game begins. Visitors are enthusiastic about the setting and atmosphere and it's fine for beginners, but complain about the price (expensive for an hour), a thin story with lots of 'lock-to-lock' puzzles, and lukewarm reception when the park is otherwise closed.
