Escaperoom St. Willibrorduskerk is a special, small-scale escape room in the real, still-functioning village church of Stramproy, set up in 2023 as part of the '100 years of church building' anniversary. In the single room, Klokkentoren, the vicar has accidentally locked himself in the bell tower while ringing the bells; locked in the church loft by the organ you must find the correct codes within 60 minutes to open the way up and free him. Groups are first received in the sacristy with a drink and explanation โ a warm, hospitable start by volunteers, no business-like briefing. The puzzling happens literally in the atmosphere of incense and organ music; there are a children's version and a more challenging adult version. There are no escapetalk or TripAdvisor scores yet (too small and local), but local press wrote warmly about it as an initiative that brings new people into the church.
