Taken The Game (by Warrior Events, base at Travertijnstraat 12 in Groningen) is not a classic escape room but a cinematic, two-hour manhunt through the city. A gang has kidnapped victims; your team drives in your own car past the grimiest spots of Grunn, tracks down gang members at real abandoned locations, interrogates them, breaks into hideouts and ends with an epic shoot-out and rescue scene. Ten live actors are the game system — they set the pace, give in-character instructions via interrogation and deliver the scares, smoke and explosions. Visitors feel like the lead character in an action film and praise the commitment of the actors and the scale (the entire city as playing field); on TripAdvisor 100% recommend it, though with low review volume. Notes: little public information, own-car logistics and 16+ age limit restrict the audience, and classic puzzles are nearly absent.
