Vrhuys was a Virtual Reality entertainment centre at Dr. Huber Noodtplaats in Doetinchem that revolved around VR escape rooms on four complete VR sets. The offering consisted mainly of licensed titles, including Ubisoft's Beyond Medusa's Gate (the Assassin's Creed-Greece from 445 BC) and Escape The Lost Pyramid, plus more than ten catalogue escape rooms from easy to very difficult. The guidance was technical (staff as tech support), not narrative, and there were no live actors; the strength lay in safely doing physically impossible things, like climbing along cliffs. Public traces are thin: on escapetalk there are zero reviews despite years of operation, and the location has since permanently closed (around 2024/25). A venue with commodity content that barely built its own fanbase or community.
