TRAP Arnhem ('Team Racing Against Puzzles') was the Dutch branch of the Hungarian TRAP brand from Budapest, at Varkensstraat 34 near Korenmarkt. There were three 60-minute rooms: 'Armageddon' (operate a backup missile-launch system in an underground bunker to stop an asteroid), 'De Egypt' (a trial by the tomb of Pharaoh Hor, virtually an identical copy of the Budapest room), and 'Secret of Tomb' (the most acclaimed: Brent, raised fanatically religious by his mother, holds you captive in a hidden cellar — find the urn with her ashes to escape before he comes home). Reviewers found TRAP to be respectable franchise rooms with friendly, patient staff, but criticised the clearly off-the-shelf, ready-made content, puzzles with no logical connection to the story, and endings that fell flat.
