TheaterEscaperoom Zutphen was a deliberately one-time escape room, built in Theater Hanzehof on Coehoornsingel for the third National Theater Weekend and playable for just one day: Sunday, January 28, 2018. In the room 'Red de show' the foyer fills with an audience while everything goes wrong backstage; you have 30 minutes to solve the chaos behind the curtain so the curtain can rise on time. The strength lay in the real theater venue and the diegetic deadline — there is literally an audience waiting. It was not a failed business but a festival stunt; the domain theaterescape.nl still exists but the room is no longer playable. There are no serious reviews: the event preceded the review culture and left virtually no player footprint.
