Het Buitencentrum in Oldebroek ('t Loo) is an outdoor activities center with a unique escape room: The Old Mine. With helmet and headlamp you descend with your team into a collapsed gold mine, a real 150-meter tunnel system in the dark, where you crawl through narrow passages searching for codes and clues to crack them later in an escape room section and escape via the mine shaft. The twist: part of the team sits in a 'command room' and directs the crawlers via secret instructions, an asymmetric-information mechanic. The game lasts 90 minutes for 5-15 players from age 8. Reviewers (escapetalk 7.5/10) praise the physical, different-from-the-rest experience and find it suitable for families, but mention the decoration looks a bit cheap, the puzzles thin for experienced players and the split team sometimes having to wait for each other.
