About this venue
Fundustry Nijmegen (operating as Fundustry Viking Adventures on recreation grounds Groene Heuvels in Ewijk) is a large multi-activity park with paintball, quad biking, climbing park and two Viking escape rooms. Both rooms share the same legend: in The Forgotten Viking Raid you follow the trail of the missing fleet of Jarl Brynjar to an unknown Maya temple in the jungle, and in The Viking Longhouse you must prove you are worthy to lead his fleet through map reading and Norse mythology. That an antagonist is shared across two rooms (myth versus proof) is a nice narrative idea, but the execution is weak: reviewers report a poorly accessible, hot space, broken items, little atmosphere, and an unclear final puzzle. Room-specific judgment is moderate; the park scores better as a group outing than as an escape room.
