About this venue
Fox in a Box Zutphen is a branch of the worldwide escape room chain, on the first floor of Kings & Queens near the station (Stationsplein 6). You play with 2-6 people in one of the rooms: De Bunker, in which you must prevent a nuclear launch during the Cold War, or the domestic mystery De Erfenis (Coming Home), in which you unravel an inherited house and a mysterious package from a deceased family member. There is also the outdoor City Quest, a city walk with puzzles and augmented reality through the center of Zutphen. Visitors especially praise the friendly, helpful gamemaster and good service; the atmosphere scores slightly lower and some reviewers find it expensive for what you get (franchise scenarios instead of truly original stories). The room De Erfenis has since been replaced by The Chamber of Lost Legends, an archaeological mystery.
