Escapeshop de Plek was a unique escape room in a Christian bookshop and gift shop in Dieren. The playing field was the shop itself: after closing time a team of maximum six people had to discover the secret in a mysterious chest within 90 minutes. The decoration and puzzles had a Christian character, but Bible knowledge was explicitly not required. Characteristic was the model of one booking per half-day — including quiet welcome, the 90-minute game and a debrief — with multiple parallel storylines so there was something for everyone to do. There is only one review ever published (a perfect 10 on escapetalk, Atmosphere/Puzzles/Service all 10), which shows how few people ever played the room. The escape room has since permanently closed.
