Escaperoom Wijchen (later Project Escape Wijchen) was a small location with two rooms, set up as a hobby project by Bas & Joyce Pittens. In 'De Erfenis' (2018) a notary tracks you down as the sole heir to the country estate of aunt Kaatje, but the deed of ownership is missing — you must find it with your team before the demolition crew tears down the house; the gamemaster played in-character as the notary and gave hints at the right moments without breaking the fiction. 'Energy Battle' (later 'Het Lab') was a sustainability/energy theme, deliberately different from the standard prison or horror rooms. Reviews on escapetalk were positive, with much praise for the in-character notary, the detail density, and varied puzzles; criticism was about Energy Battle's initially high difficulty and limited evening/weekend opening hours (the owners had day jobs). The rooms were transferred to Project Escape (Nijmegen), after which Wijchen closed permanently and the domain no longer exists; Project Escape evolved into ROX Escape Experience in Nijmegen.
