Escape Route was a small-scale, hobby-run escape room in Dodewaard, literally hidden between Kalkestraat 83 and 85 and only open on weekends. In the single room you entered an abandoned room of someone who had left on a voyage of discovery; through cryptic letters he sent from all over the world, you reconstructed his route and his mission. Visitors were warm about the atmosphere and hospitable reception, although the paper-heavy puzzles scored somewhat lower. The business has since closed permanently (around 2023) and the domain escaperoute.nl is no longer in use; public information is scarce.
