De Morfinekluis by Experience Center Apeldoorn, on the former Zwitsal site, is one of the best-rated escape rooms in the Netherlands (escapetalk 9.5 with hundreds of reviews, national top-25). It's a reversed escape room: no escape but a heist — you break into a heavily secured facility in 90 minutes, evade guards and cameras, crack the safe with the experimental morphine monster MX10 and then have to get out again. The heist spans multiple rooms in three acts (infiltrate, crack safe, escape) and cleverly uses the real pharmaceutical history of the Zwitsal complex as background. Visitors describe it as 'sitting in a movie': everything fits the story, from the puzzles to the hints, and the debrief where the gamemasters walk through every puzzle is beloved. The only caveat is that some physical mobility is required.
