De Fabriek is an indoor fun center in the region's oldest industrial hall in Harderwijk, with drift go-karts, VR laser games, simulators and a bar — the Sport Escape Room is one of many attractions. It's not a classic puzzle room but a 200 m² course where you 'escape through sports and games': physical mini-games in multiple rooms unlock progress, without narrative or time period around it. There are 30 and 60 minute versions and a public escape record (46:42) for the competitive angle. Kids' parties and groups combining it with go-karts are enthusiastic (venue-wide Google 4.8), but escape enthusiasts are harsh: the only escapetalk review gives it 3.5 and mentions minimalist, poorly maintained decor, several groups finished in ~30 minutes and the lack of narrative is explicitly criticized — for €90 they find it too thin.
