About this venue
Level XL is a restaurant combined with an indoor entertainment center on Drachten's shopping boulevard, with laser tag, glow golf and pool alongside five escape rooms. The three large rooms lean on well-known (unlicensed) TV themes: Pablo Escobar's secret money vault, a Money Heist-style bank heist (La Casa De Papel) and a 75-minute room around The Handmaid's Tale; besides that there are two 15-minute 'flashcaperooms' (De Elfstedentocht and Piraten) where you have to complete the whole thing without hints. The atmosphere is decidedly fun-first: combo deals with food and other activities, fully wheelchair accessible, aimed at families and corporate outings. Visitors and local press are positive about the affordable, exciting outings and the food, but the escape room community does not review the venue — Level XL is completely absent from escapetalk, so little independent information is known about puzzle quality.
