House Investigation

Donkerbroek Closed 1 room

About this venue

House Investigation was a single-room escape room in village hall Oan 'e Feart in Donkerbroek, opened in March 2016 as 'the sixth escape room of Friesland' by Priscilla ten Hoor and Steven Höltke. The story was a cold case from 1984: a bailiff entered a defaulter's home and was never seen again — the room itself was the undisturbed crime scene, lovingly decorated for months as an 1980s interior. Players searched step by step for 'the true story' with keys, padlocks and hidden codes. The scarce reviews were positive about the surprising theme, the 1980s nostalgia and the friendly chat and drinks afterwards, though some found the puzzle sequence too linear. The village project lasted about two years; around 2018 the website went offline and the room closed for good.
