About this venue
Escaperoom Wolvega opened in October 2017 in the Van der Valk hotel Wolvega-Heerenveen with two rooms that cleverly played out in the hotel itself: in The Diamond you hunted for the heavily secured diamond of the Van der Valk family, in The Piccolo you investigated a shady bellhop who would extort guests. For 2017 it was surprisingly modern, with intro films, light and sound effects and professionally decorated décor, controlled from a single iPad. Local press and visitors were consistently positive about the stories, the creative puzzles and the enthusiastic staff. In late 2019 Van der Valk reclaimed the spaces as hotel rooms and closed the escape room; the own website is now offline and the operation is definitively closed.
